The Key: German Edition: In late 2003 I received an e-mail from Thomas Giesinger volunteering to translate The Key into German. Over the next few months I extracted the text from The Key, placed it into Microsoft Word documents, and sent it to him; he then translated it and sent it back to me. As he returned the documents I placed the translated German text back in the game.
After working on this for six months I realized that this was going to take quite some time: The Key was not designed with translation in mind and I was not going to finish this quickly. What I decided to do is post my current progress and then update this page as I had the time to do more work on it.
The version is fairly far along: much of the text that Thomas carefully translated has been placed into the game. There is still much to be done but much progress has been made. I'm not sure when I will have the entire game completed but I hope to continue to work on it as time allows.
The download below will only work if you have already downloaded and installed Part I, II and III. To use this, unzip the file into the directory where you installed The Key (e.g. C:\TheKey); it will create a file called TheKeyG.exe. If you run that program you will launch the German version of The Key.
The Key on CD: If you don't want to downlad The Key you can purchase a CD on our order page.
